Competition Terms and Conditions

In order to participate in the Spherical Report 360 Program (hereinafter the "Monitoring Program"), you need to follow each of the steps in the following Spherical Report 360 Program Procedures and agree to all the Terms and Conditions.

1. Spherical Report 360 Program Procedures

STEP 1:

Monitoring Program entry period (March 27– April 10)

Please fill out the following entry form.

Your personal information (name, date of birth, valid Email address, postal address etc.) shall be strictly managed and shall not be used for purposes other than to contact you in regards to the Monitoring Program or to inform of you of some details regarding the operation of the program. (See Terms and Conditions Paragraph 6) Your personal information shall be managed according to appropriate security measures and shall not, as a general rule, be disclosed or provided to a third party without the consent of the Entrant.*

*CNN is collecting on behalf of RICOH (Ricoh Company Ltd. and Ricoh Creative Service Company Ltd.), but will not be storing or utilising the data other than for this purpose.

STEP 2:

RICOH THETA Monitor Screening (selection of participants) and delivery of RICOH THETA (April 11 – April 30)

Since numerous entries are expected, please understand that entrants will not be notified unless they have been selected. Selected participants will be contacted by the supporting operator of the Spherical Report 360 Program, STYLIST Inc. (hereinafter the “Operator”) via the Email address provided in the entry form.

The Operator will screen the entries based on the information provided in STEP 1 (focusing on the comment regarding “The images I would like to capture” (maximum 360 characters).Participants for the Monitoring Program (hereinafter the “Participants”) will be selected at the discretion of the Operator and will be sent a RICOH THETA.

Selections may have to be cancelled if the personal information provided is incomplete or inaccurate.

Your personal information shall be strictly managed and shall not be used for purposes other than to contact you in regards to the Monitoring Program or to inform of you of details regarding the operation of the program. (See Participation Rules Clause 6) Your personal information shall be managed according to appropriate security measures and shall not, as a general rule, be disclosed or provided to a third party without your consent.

STEP 3:

SUBMISSION OF PHOTOS (Monitoring Period) (May 1 – August 31)

Please take photos with the RICOH THETA and submit at least one photo a month.

Monthly MVP
4 winners will each receive a RICOH COMMANDER Multifunction wristwatch.

  • The Operator will contact you with the details.
  • The images must be uploaded via the Internet from a PC or other device.
  • If your RICOH THETA does not function properly during the Monitoring Period, please contact the Operator at: SR360@SR360.info
  • Depending on how bad the condition is, it may take time to repair or provide you with a replacement.
  • In addition to Participants, the general public (open to global) will also be invited to submit photos.

If you already own a RICOH THETA, you may take part in the program from this stage onwards. Please submit your entries from the dedicated page on this website. Your personal information (name, date of birth, valid Email address, postal address etc.) shall be strictly managed and shall not be used for purposes other than to contact you in regards to the Monitoring Program or to inform of you of some administrative details. (See Participation Rules Clause 6) Your personal information shall be managed according to appropriate security measures and shall not, as a general rule, be disclosed or provided to a third party without the consent of the Entrant. With regards to the Rules regarding the Monitoring Program given below, all rules after 4 (Monitoring Program Participation Requirements) shall apply.*

STEP 4:

Round Table Discussion (September – TBC)

The judging and selection of the Grand Prix and Gold Prize winners will be completed in time for the round table discussion.

Grand Prix and Gold Prize awards:

  • One Grand Prix winner - Digital single lens reflex camera(PENTAX K-3 18-135WR kit)
  • Two Gold Prize winners - Compact digital camera (RICOH GR Limited Edition)
  • The top 3 prize winners will be invited to the ceremony and round table discussion.

Details will be announced by the Operator.

STEP 5:

End of Spherical Report 360 Program (September 23)

  • The Operator will confirm the frequency and number of images submitted by each participant. If the Operator deems the participant to have satisfied the Participation Requirements, the participant will be allowed to keep the RICOH THETA used during the Monitoring Program.
  • If the Operator deems that the participant has not met the participation requirements, the participant must return the RICOH THETA to the Operator.
  • Participants shall provide image data for the entries submitted during the Monitoring Period (minimum frequency of once a month, a minimum of 4 entries)
  • The participant is responsible for the cost of returning the RICOH THETA. Please pay in advance.

2. Terms and Conditions regarding the Monitoring Program

1. General rules

These Terms and Conditions regarding the Monitoring Program (hereinafter the “Terms and Conditions”) stipulate the agreement between Ricoh Creative Service Company Inc. (hereinafter the “Organizer”), with support from the operator of the Monitoring Program, Stylist Inc. (hereinafter the “Operator”), and those who wish to participate in the Monitoring Program (hereinafter the “Entrants”) and those who have been selected by the Operator to participate in the Monitoring Program (hereinafter the “Participants”).

Entrants and Participants shall comply with the Terms and Conditions, the above 1) Spherical Report 360 Program Procedures, and Guidance provided to the Entrants and Participants from the Organizer or the Operator via Email or through notifications on this Website (hereinafter referred to collectively as the “Rules”). Entrants and Participants shall accept that the Rules are subject to change without notice.

By submitting the entrance form, each Entrant agrees to comply with the Terms and Conditions and the above 1. Spherical Report 360 Program Procedures.

2. MONITOR PROGRAM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS (ELIGIBILITY)

Entrants and participants shall:

  • provide us with your name, date of birth, valid Email address and postal address
  • submit a comment titled: The images I would like to capture (maximum 360 characters)
  • be a resident of the United States at the time of entry
  • understand the above 1. Spherical Report 360 Procedures and be able to implement each step.

3. Notices regarding entrance and drawing qualifications

  • If the Entrant does not meet the above requirements, the Entrant will not be eligible for the draw.
  • The Entrant must provide accurate information for the mandatory fields in the entry form. The Organizer shall not be liable for disqualification for the draw or for any other losses incurred through the Entrant’s failure to fill out the form accurately.
  • Entry is limited to one per person each and can only be made through the designated form. If a single Entrant should make multiple entries, all except one shall be invalid. The Entrant shall be responsible for all fees associated with submission, including communication fees, etc.
  • Selected Entrants must provide the Operator with the requested personal information and shall agree to comply with the requirements for participating in the RICOH THETA photo contest (hereinafter the “Contest”).
  • Problems or accidents that occur during shipment may prevent delivery of the RICOH THETA to the selected Entrant. In such cases, the Entrant shall be disqualified.
  • Operators reserve the right to decide whether or not to post the submitted photos (image files) on the Website.
  • The Organizer and Site Operator (CNN) are unable to answer questions and inquiries regarding selected Entrants.

4. Monitoring Program Participation Requirements

  • The Operator must be able to contact you regularly during the Program period.
  • You must take photos with the RICOH THETA and submit image date (Entries) at least once a month.
  • The Participation Requirements and the following clauses shall also apply to the Participants, who are taking part in the Program from STEP 3.

5. Notices regarding Participation

  • Problems or accidents that occur during shipment may prevent delivery of the RICOH THETA. In such cases, the participant shall be disqualified.
  • If you fail to meet the above qualifications or if the Operator deems that you are not eligible, you shall be disqualified. You must then return the RICOH THETA to the Operator or pay the merchandise price.
  • By submitting your entries, you shall have consented to allow third parties authorized by the Organizer to use your submitted works for free for secondary purposes such as for banners or panels.
  • The Participant must not make any claims to the Organizer or authorized third parties regarding the moral rights of authors.
  • The Participant must either hold the copyrights to the submitted entries, or have obtained permission in advance from the copyright holders of the objects or images appearing in the photos. It is the responsibility of the Participant to obtain permission from any recognizable persons appearing in the photos to use their images or likenesses to avoid infringement issues. The Participant must not submit any entries which may be deemed offensive to public order or morality. The Participant is responsible for dealing with any legal matters that may occur in regards to the submitted entries.
  • Sufficient care will be taken in handling the submitted works; however the Organizer shall accept no responsibility for loss or damage or related issues.
  • Participants shall be responsible for lost or damaged data or related that may occur during the Monitoring Contest.
  • The Participant must not engage in any activities that apply or may be regarded as applying to the following:
    a. Contrary to public order or morality.
    b. Violating laws, ordinances or decrees.
    c. Infringing upon the copyrights, portrait, privacy or property rights of the Organizer, the Site Operator, the Operator or any third parties.
    d. Slandering or defaming the Organizer, the Site Operator, the Operator or any third parties.
    e. Causing detriment to the Organizer, the Site Operator, the Operator or any third parties.
    f. Obstructing the operation of the Monitor Program.
    g. Registering false or deceitful information.
    h. Providing false or deceitful information
    i. Carrying out multiple registrations or masquerading as someone else.
    j. Entering or participating on behalf of a third party, including a family member.
    k. Sharing with or transferring to a third party, including a family member, one’s Login ID and Password.
    l. Violating the confidentiality agreement.
    m. Any activities deemed inappropriate by the Organizer.
  • If the Participant complies with the Participation Requirements, the Participant will be presented with a RICOH THETA. The Operator shall deliver the camera in its present state and shall not be liable to comply with any warranties against defects once the delivery has been made.

6. How your personal information will be used

  • Your personal information shall be strictly managed and shall not be used for purposes other than to contact you in the event that you have been selected as a participant in the Monitoring Program; to send you the RICOH THETA; for data management of the images submitted to the contest; and to compile statistical data.
  • Your personal information shall be managed according to appropriate security measures and shall not, as a general rule, be disclosed or provided to a third party without your consent.*

7. Contact details

If you have any inquiries concerning the Monitoring Program, damage or malfunctioning of the RICOH THETA or on how your personal information will be handled, please contact the Operator at the following address: SR360@SR360.info The Organizer and Site Operator will not be able to respond to any such inquiries.

8. Compensation

If the Entrant or Participant violates the Rules and should cause damage to the Organizer or Third Parties, the Organizer shall immediately disqualify the Entrant or Participant and shall be entitled to claim compensation for damage against the Entrant or Participant.

9. Miscellaneous provisions

  • The Terms and Conditions are based on the State Law of Georgia. The State Law of Georgia shall have exclusive jurisdiction of the first trial for any and all disputes related to these Terms and Conditions.

  • The Entrant or Participant must not disclose or leak any information obtained from the Monitoring Program to a Third Party by any methods or means, including by word of mouth, in writing, Email and posting on the Internet. Entrants or Participants must abide by this confidentiality agreement even after the conclusion of the Monitoring Program or after disqualification.

10. Organizer

The Monitoring Program is run by the Organizer. All responsibilities for the organization of the Program lie with the Organizer. The Site Operator (CNN) shall not be liability for any damages or detriments incurred by the Entrants or Participants with regards to the Monitoring Program.
